The Holding donated 500 million TL to the earthquake zone, 400 million TL to AFAD and 100 million TL to AHBAP.

ISTANBUL (AA) - Cengiz Holding has donated 500 million TL for the earthquake regions.

According to a statement made by the company, Cengiz Holding, which mobilized all its subsidiaries, group companies, construction equipment and technical teams, as well as expert rescue teams working in mining enterprises, for search and rescue operations since the first hours of the earthquake disaster, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, donated 500 million TL to the earthquake zone.

The following statements were made in the statement:

‘We are deeply saddened by the earthquakes that have deeply shaken our country. The pain of those who lost their lives breaks our hearts and we wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured. We are carrying out a comprehensive work to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster, save lives and reach those in need quickly. While we continue to provide earthquake zones with construction equipment and vehicle support, we also continue to dispatch technical teams to use these vehicles and specialized rescue teams working inmining enterprises to earthquake zones.

Our search and rescue team of 432 people continues to work in the region. Approximately 187 people, including technical teams such as drivers, engineers, foremen and operators required for construction machinery, continue to support the work in the earthquake zone. In addition, work has been accelerated for the soup kitchens to be established in Adıyaman, Malatya and İslahiye, Gaziantep. As of February 13, these soup kitchens will distribute hot meals to 5,000 people (15,000 in total) per day. We also provided support for 2 bread factories in Islahiye and Hatay.

The statement emphasized the following:

‘In addition to all these efforts, today we decided to donate 500 million TL for the earthquake regions. 400 million TL of this amount was transferred to AFAD and 100 million TL to AHBAP. As we continue all our work at the same pace, we will do our best to heal our wounds together. Today is the day to unite and fight together. We invite the entire Turkish business world to be a part of this sensitivity and we sincerely believe that we will overcome these difficult days together.
